Remi

Privacy Policy

Remi is a personal reminder app for Android. It has no ads and does not sell personal data.

Data that stays on your phone

Reminders you create, including title and time, your settings, and reminder history are stored on the device. Remi does not upload that data.

Uninstalling Remi removes this on-device data. If Android backup is on, the system may restore it when you install Remi again.

Microphone

Voice input uses Android’s speech recognizer. Remi does not run its own speech service and does not keep recordings. On a phone with Google services, that recognizer may send audio to Google to turn speech into text, and then discard it. A connected Bluetooth headset is only another microphone on the phone.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan a pairing QR code for Shared Reminders. The image is read on the device and is not uploaded as a photo.

Shared Reminders

Shared Reminders are optional. If you pair this phone with another, Remi uses Google Firebase (project remi-shared) to deliver what you send. That includes:

This is used to deliver that reminder to the paired device. It is sent over HTTPS. It is not used for advertising.

Reminders already saved on a phone stay on that phone. Deleting the cloud copy does not delete them from the other phone.

Deleting shared data

In the app: Settings → Delete shared data.

That deletes the anonymous account and the cloud records listed above: this device’s record, pairing links, and reminders still waiting in the cloud.

Uninstalling the app removes Remi and its on-device data. Android does not run an app while it is being uninstalled, so uninstall does not itself delete the Firebase data. Use Delete shared data before you uninstall if you want that cloud data removed.

Children

Remi is not directed at children.
